How paths and attributes affect choices?

There are two ways in which attributes and paths might affect the outcome of a choice.
* A choice requires your path/attribute to be higher than x to succeed
* A dice roll based on your path/attribute need to be higher than x to succeed

In either case the higher a path or attribute is the more likely is for you to be successful in the related choices.

How is determined which attribute or path will be used in a choice?

Like all RPG games that’s up to the story teller and their common sense ;)
For example if an action would require someone to be strong to perform this action, then their character would need to have a high strength to succeed in this action etc.

What is the significance of the dominant path?

If one of your paths are higher than all the rest, it’s your dominant path, and it determines your chance to hit an opponent in melee combat.

If two or more of your paths have the same value, you don’t have a dominant path and you considered to follow the path of ‘Balance’.

How paths and attributes affect spells & tactics?

Spells & Tactics effects are magnified by the characters level and of course the paths and attributes that govern those spells.

What is the maximum rank?

Maximum rank determines how high or low an attribute or path can be for your current level.
For instance a level 1 character can never have any path or attribute above 2.

Max Rank increases every few levels eventually reaching 10 at level 36.

  • Level 1+ / Max Rank: 2
  • Level 4+ / Max Rank: 3
  • Level 7+ / Max Rank: 4
  • Level 10+ / Max Rank: 5
  • Level 13+ / Max Rank: 6
  • Level 16+ / Max Rank: 7
  • Level 20+ / Max Rank: 8
  • Level 27+ / Max Rank: 9
  • Level 36+ / Max Rank: 10

What are the benefits of level up?

After a character reach a certain amount of XP they level up and improve in the following ways:

  • Max Rank increases every few levels eventually reaching 10 at level 36 (see table below in Paths & Attributes)
  • Damage, Spell Damage, Potion Efficiency get a +1 per level. (ie. A level 10 character has +10, in damage, spell damage & potion hp,ap,cp refilled)
  • At 3rd level and every 2 levels after that, characters can improve an attribute or a path by +1 up to their maximum rank
  • Every 5 levels player receive a milestone achievement with special rewards. (see table below in Achievements)
  • Players gain access to better tier spells and equipment:
